Dear Community of Boise,
I am honored to be elected and have the opportunity to work with so many individuals that I respect and admire on our board and in our District administration. I have seen their efforts on behalf of our students and our community and I am grateful for all they are doing. I am thrilled to bring my skill set alongside theirs in a joint effort to build up our students, teachers, parents, and community.
I am incredibly grateful for the support I have received, thank you! This election was won because students, their needs in mental health, and education were the center focus. I will hold to that focus as a trustee. To all who joined in this effort to come together for kids, thank you.
I am looking forward to having conversations that build with anyone willing to join the effort. I am excited to form intentional connections that energize in positive ways. I will support the efforts to bring opportunities for growth in mental health and our education system, contributing to success for students and our community. I will represent all students, all teachers, all parents and I will work to bring people together.
Boise, thank you for listening and being willing to give me a chance to represent our students and serve in this role the next two years! With determination, tenacity, compassion, and passion I will serve this community. As a trustee I will be a part of incredible work, with really incredible people, and I am excited!
Thank you,
Krista Hasler

I’m Krista Hasler a mother of four Boise School District students, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Certified Anxiety Treatment Professional, a Dance Coach, and I am a trustee for Boise School District.
During the school year, I volunteer in K-6 classrooms three hours a week teaching art, reading, assisting with teacher prep, and connecting with students and teachers. I have two small businesses: DoubleTap Dance Company LLC, a competitive dance studio with 50 students, and Anxiety Pathways LLC, a private therapy practice specializing in anxiety. I teach free anxiety classes in our community, am on my HOA board, and serve on the leadership council in my church as president over the 11-18 year old girls who we are training to be leaders. In an effort to combat division in our society I host “Influential Women of Boise Events” to increase connection and understanding. The past two years I have volunteered and attended Boise School District Workshops with District Administrators and trustees and have been able to learn about our District and build relationships.
About Me
I am a mom of four students in every level of the District: upper and lower Elementary, Jr High School, and High School. We value the public education system and all the opportunities available in it. I will bring an added lens to the board as a parent with students in various classrooms and grades throughout the District. I am passionate about education, empowering ALL students to find the success they need to achieve what they desire, and supporting teachers and families.
I have experience working with teens and children as a caseworker in foster care, as a therapist in residential treatment, in addiction recovery programs, and as a volunteer in my church and the community.
Krista has been my daughter’s competitive dance teacher... Krista has nurtured unity as a team while simultaneously addressing their individual needs, personalities, growth and learning development. She encourages and expects excellence with sensitivity and a genuine love and appreciation for each teammate. My own daughter has benefited from this healthy environment, pushing through difficult things and achieving more because of Krista’s fun, encouraging, insightful coaching and connection. When there has been a concern or a problem to work through, Krista does not skirt the issue, but meets it head on through open, sensitive communication. Krista will bring these qualities to the School Board along with a wealth of practical experience, applicable educational background, and a genuine desire for the very best for students and staff of the Boise School District.

Krista is a valued member of our HOA Board and neighborhood. She is community minded, well spoken, highly intelligent, highly motivated, and a valuable asset to our neighborhood and south Boise community. She lives and displays the utmost of moral values and I believe that as a trustee, you will also find her as a person of exceptional character and abilities.

I can honestly say that I wouldn’t be the person that I am today without Krista... She is always willing to go on long walks and listen to my complaints while also providing valuable advice that has helped me become both a better learner and a better teacher. Whenever I have ideas, she finds ways to help turn my plans into reality, and when my ideas aren't quite there yet, she asks questions to truly understand me and help me accomplish the things that my heart is set on. …She has allowed me to help her so I can continue to learn how to be my own leader.
Krista has also always shown her love and appreciation towards all she works with…She has always been supportive of me and my endeavors and never fails to show her gratitude for the work I put in, which not only boosts my confidence but encourages me to work harder and to strive to reach farther goals than I ever thought capable. I will forever be grateful to have Krista as a wonderful leader and friend, because she has helped me to become the person that I truly want to be.

It is my pleasure to recommend Krista Hasler for a Boise School Board trustee position.
I am Patrick Ash, a 6th-grade teacher at Amity Elementary. I have 28 years of teaching experience in elementary schools and have worked with numerous professionals in education. Mrs. Hasler is one individual I have worked with who particularly stands out.
Mrs. Hasler volunteered in my classroom last year as an art teacher. She was always prepared, very organized, and had a good understanding of what students needed in order to be successful. She freely gave of her time to provide art opportunities for my students.
I had the pleasure of discussing education with Mrs. Hasler on several occasions. It is apparent that she puts children first and truly cares about what students are learning and how the classroom teachers are being supported. She is a very well educated individual and a professional in all she does.
I am certain that Mrs. Hasler would be an extraordinary addition to the Boise School Board.
